Lyndsay Hodges

Lyndsay Hodges is the head volleyball coach and Campus Assistant Athletic Coordinator at Cy-Fair High School. She started her coaching career at Cy Fair HS more than 20 years ago. After her one year at Cy Fair, she started the varsity program at Cy Ridge HS. She remained there for seven years until 2010 when she was hired to start the volleyball program at the new Clear Falls HS in League City. From 2011 until 2019, in the school's first eight years with a varsity program, she lead them to play-offs each year. In the programs 3rd and 4th year they made back to back appearances at the UIL State Volleyball Tournament. While in her years at Clear Falls, she was named Head Coach of the year for CCISD in 2013, County Head Coach of the year in 2014, as well as receiving the PCA Scotty Zorne award, coaching several All Star teams and being selected to speak at several clinics. She is currently a part of the HS Leadership Council for the AVCA, is the past and current president of GHVCA (2012-19, 2023-24) and was the Assistant Executive Director of the TX Association of Volleyball Coaches (2016-19).

In 2019, Lyndsay returned home to the San Antonio area to help her mother take care of her dad before he passed in May of 2021. While there she was the Asst. Athletic Coordinator and Head Volleyball/Head Track Coach of Spring Branch Middle School. Lyndsay also has experience as a club coach, which she started coaching while she was a collegiate athlete. She has had the opportunity to be a part of many successful programs in the Dallas, Houston and San Antonio areas.

Lyndsay played volleyball, basketball and ran track at Lee HS in San Antonio, TX. She went on to play collegiate volleyball at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, which led to her first coaching and teaching job at Denton HS in 2000.

Lyndsay is also a Breast Cancer Survivor. Volleyball got her through the toughest of times; during the 2016 season she spent most of her days getting treatment before heading to the gym to coach her kids.

Jenny Adcock

Jenny Adcock is in her 23rd year of coaching and teaching. She played volleyball and ran track in high school in Louisiana and graduated from Texas A&M with undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Science and Genetics.  In August 2020, Jenny graduated from Concordia University with a Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.  For 22 years, she has coached club volleyball and high school.

To start her career, Jenny spent three years as the Varsity Coach of Allen Academy, where she led the Lady Rams to three undefeated District Championships and a TAPPS 2A State Championship in 2002. She was selected as the 2002 District Coach of the Year and a 2003 TAPPS All-Star coach. While at Stratford High School as an assistant coach (2004-2010), Jenny led her sub-varsity teams to a district record of 79-1 and enjoyed learning from local legend Becky Palermo. She transferred to Memorial High School in 2010 and spent three years working for another seasoned veteran, Beth Gammill. While at SHS and MHS, Jenny served on the TGCA sub-varsity committee (4 years), was a clinician at the TGCA Satellite Clinic in Houston (2012), and was selected as a GHVCA All-Star Assistant Coach (2013). Jenny took over the program at Clements High School in the fall of 2013 and led the program to three consecutive playoff appearances before returning to the helm of Stratford in 2016.

As head coach of the Lady Spartans, she has seen her program make playoffs (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022), graduate collegiate volleyball players (Pitt, University of Delaware, MIT, Utah, University of Incarnate Word, West Texas A&M, Southern New Hampshire, Glenville State), and grow into the largest girls’ program on campus.  She has spoken at the THSCA Coaches Convention (2019, 2021, 2022), serves on the AVCA High School Leadership Council, and is an Assistant Campus Athletic Director for Stratford.

Geoff Stresman

Lutheran South Academy

Geoff Stresman in his 17th year as the varsity head coach at Lutheran South Academy.  He started coaching at LSA in 2003 and in 2015 took a 3-year break to complete his master’s in educational administration, and then started back in 2019.  In his 17 years Lutheran South has only missed the playoffs 4 times.  Geoff has been the state runner-up twice (2003, 2004) and finished in the final four two more times (2011, 2022).  He was selected to be the TAPPS all-star coach in 2012.  Before coaching at Lutheran South Academy, Geoff was an assistant coach at Concordia University Ann Arbor (NAIA) for 3 years.  He also has coached club volleyball with Pearland Juniors and his club teams have qualified for the USAV Junior Nationals 4 different times. 

 

Geoff is the assistant principal for the Lutheran South Academy middle school and the varsity girls golf coach as well.  Geoff has been married for 5 years to his wife Mary, and they have one son Tanner (2).

Carrie Schneider

Coach Schneider graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1997.  After that, she played volleyball for the Texas A&M University Club team.  Coach Schneider graduated from A&M with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and a minor in Mathematics in 2001.  She then moved back to Houston to work for an oil and gas acquisition company to program and maintain their database system.  After a few years, Schneider decided to pursue teaching.  She has been teaching and coaching high school. She enjoys working with a great group of peers and students!
